Description

: "Leading By Example" will explore how the U.S. military is on the forefront of efforts to develop and implement renewable and clean energy sources both to power our forces and to combat climate change.

Our speakers each are leaders in their respective branches and are developing projects that look to provide energy sources for U.S. installations and bases at home as well as for war fighters in places like Afghanistan.

You will hear from leading experts about how the Defense Department has identified climate change as a strategic threat, how the Army is transitioning over 4000 vehicles to electric, how the Navy recently launched an F/A 18 Super Hornet jet powered totally by biofuels, how the Air Force is developing the nation's largest solar field, and how the Marines are testing renewable generators in the combat zone.
