Ste vedeli, da je v blatu dojenih dojenčkov več bifidobakterij kot v blatu nedojenih, s kravjim mlekom hranjenih otrok? Dojeni otroci redkeje zbolevajo za različnimi okužbami, zlasti za okužbami prebavil z drisko. Velika vsebnost bifidobakterij v črevesu varuje pred okužbo črevesa z drugimi mikroorganizmi. Znano je, da so Bolgari na vrhu lestvice po zaužitju jogurtov, manj znano pa, da je med njimi tudi veliko število stoletnikov. Ruski biolog Mečnik je prvi njihovo dolgo življenjsko dobo in zdravje pripisal rednemu uživanju jogurta oziroma specifičnih vrst laktobacilov, ki so v jogurtih ...
