Description

The author introduced the development of open access in the research field of the European Union. Horizon 2020 brought us guidelines on Open Access to Scientific Publications and Research Data. At the same time EU member states were asked to define clear policies for the dissemination of and open access to scientific publications resulting from publicly funded research. The state of art in the field of open access in Slovenia was presented, as well as the OpenAIRE portal - the location where data produced in the framework of European projects or as a result of national public funding of research, are collected.
